Those Darn Lost Books!
Summer Reading for Children and Adults
The Internet is filled with suggested summer reading lists and incentives. Staying close to home, I am going to suggest participating in Seattle Public Library's summer reading program - Summer of Learning. - lists, activity cards, goals and prizes. There's lots there to plans and organizes a good 10 weeks of reading fun. This summer and beyond...... Madeline and I will read at the same time, at least an hour a day. We're starting the Lord of the Rings as a shared read. For our success, because remembering details is an issue, we have a LOR journal to record all the characters and places introduced. Not firm, but light... I am thinking 30 minutes shared reading and 30 - 45 minutes independent. |
