I wasn't going to the auction this year as we had plans to visit surro mommy in Portland. I have to say, I'd been uneasy about missing my first auction since we started QAE. It's the time I get to connect with colleagues and parents on a different plane - down to earth, and in first class. Being a parent and teacher at QAE is something I am proud to share!! The auction is not only the best party of the year, it's crucial to our success as a school. The list of how this auction supports our kids is long - it's one I believe you already know. Sunday is the last day to order your tickets so the caterers can being preparing for the event.
Bittersweet: Madeline and i received a call a few nights ago from our extended family in Portland - a family member is sick and they had to cancel our visit. I am totally going to the auction! I am already putting together my Havana attire - thinking about Michael Corleone, Godfather. Needing an ascot - Anyone? Anyone?
Speaking for all the teachers and myself, we hope you will join us. Would love to see you, maybe do a little dancing and sipping together.
Thank you so much for the small group who is working around the clock making this one smoking hot party!! See you in Havana!
In Partnership with you!
