Madeline and I have a schedule we try to follow while on vacation in Florida with my parents. ST MATH is on the schedule, but with me close by so I can see her misconceptions and work through the thinking. Sometimes, when I know she has a concept down or she's getting impatient because GiGi can go on and on and on, I'll ask for the ipad while she watches me complete the objective.
One of our summer math goals, that I would like to see all QAE students attempt, is to complete the entire grade level of ST MATH curriculum before September. Madeline is at 58%, so we're trying to tackle an objective a day, "so you're prepared for second grade" - she agrees and enjoys ST MATH. While at times she'd rather stream Netflix, it's expected to accomplish our goals before playing. It's tough when the ocean is calling. Quick math is a lovely thing sometimes.
This screen shot shows where to click on your child's ST MATH screen to see his/her reports. One one you can see the percentage of objectives mastered and overall progress on the other. I encourage you to take a moment and see where your child is at and possibly set goals so they start off a new school year ready for ST MATH in a new grade level.
