Digital literacy is here to stay, it's a apart of our world. Having the ability to read text, informational or pleasure, on a device is a reality. Our love for actual books will never change. Madeline and I are enjoying spring break on the beach. We didn't pack a lot and we didn't pack many books. We did bring the iPads. We're accessing many books using her EPIC account, an account that all QAE students already have set up. We're heading to see volcanoes this morning and last night she searched "volcanoes" in EPIC and found more than she ever imagined. She now has five new volcano books (NOT different articles on the Internet) on her EPIC shelf that we'll enjoy over the next few days - or until she removes them
Parents - Please consider installing the EPIC app on all your devices and connecting to your child's EPIC account.
EPIC is appropriately named - it truly is when delivering books to young readers (3-13). Many of the titles are "Read to Me" and "audiobooks"
